Mycelium Mask | Marigold

F A B R I C :
This mask is made with two layers of 100% linen fabric with elastic ear straps.
I sourced OEKO-TEX certified linen, meaning that have been tested for harmful substances and which are thus safe from a human-ecological perspective.
Linen fabric is known to soften over its lifetime with each wash and wear.
Crinkles in the fabric are natural to linen.

COLOR:
The soft muted pink color of this mask is achieved by boiling down petals of the Marigold flower into a strong tea and soaking the linen in the liquid overnight. I collect the flowers grown in my garden, slowly filling up a jar of them over time.
Due to the natural dying process each mask with vary slightly in hue and may have some darker pigmented spots. This is completely natural and not a "stain" of any kind.
Natural dye will fade slowly over time.

PRINT:
Designed by me and screen printed by hand in my tiny home studio.
Because each of these masks were printed by hand subtle differences occur in each design.
I used screen printing ink for the first run of these masks but the future I hope to move to using a natural plant based ink for printing.

CARE:
Hand wash with a mild detergent or on gentle cycle with like colors.
Tumble Dry Low, or hang to dry.
If ironing, press from the back side.
Do not iron directly onto the print.
